Chemo#6

What a bloody week! Monday's gruelling commute for nowt, another commute for a CT scan on Tuesday, more jabs and blood tests (Monday and Wednesday) and today, another blood test because my Wednesday count was still low. Blood test OK, back in the big chair for what I'm still hoping is my last voluntary poisoning. That's seven needles this week!!
Had the usual 2 hour wait while being hydrated through a saline IV line. Infusion started at 1300, all done by 1500.
Appointment for two weeks time to discuss the results of my recent CT and next weeks PET scan.
Back home on the last ferry. Lauchy - you da man!
Found a snap of the top team during a long weekend in Amsterdam in healthier times!
Tastes buds are numbing, looks like this one is kicking in already, see you on the other side.........

'And all the drugs in the world
Cant save us from ourselves
Victims with the saddest hearts
Passing by the grace of god
There by the grace of god'

Nice photo mate. Hopefully get the team together soon. Neil's looking at a jaunt to Edinburgh in June but I don't know how you'll be fixed with hospital and moving house. Keep the spirits up and all the best for youre test results

they look like a fun bunch of people to hang out with. you must be looking forward to do that again and not worry about the side effects.
I like seeing the bastards in their pyjamas puffing away. Makes me feel better about myself. Gave up the smokes 15 years ago and still get nightmares about it.
This whole chemo thing must be like 'going to work' for you ... seems like you are doing a good job!
The thyroid thing sounds like a bummer, but if that's all you will be left with... hey, good luck fighting the critters.
You are smarter than they are! You have science on your side.
